Growing up I've had dozens of original characters that were more or less the same character in different fonts, different packages and universes.
Whatever character I am focusing on right now is the object of my daydreams. I have been having them as far back as kindergarten! Around teenage I decided to write those stories down because I felt bad letting them disappear forever in the void of my brain. Some made it into published short stories. I vividly remember forgetting the name of a side-character and having nobody to ask about it because they only existed in my head.
Because of the nature of my ocs and my stories (same girlies, different fonts), my interest in a certain oc will usually go dormant for a few months or even years, replaced by another, then come back, either the same or slightly different again.
Saying this in advance in case I suddenly stop posting anything about a certain thing and don't mention it again for a probably long while, or ever again. My silly brain needs constant new things, but also the familiar.
